Environment Canada has issued a winter travel advisory for today in light of the anticipated first accumulating snowfall of the season.
The snow is forecast to pick up through the day, with some gusty winds complicating matters for anyone out on the roads.
This morning, as I write this post, the sky appears to be only partly cloudy, but the air is a bit nippy at -7°.
This taste of winter looks as though it could be short-lived, according to the long-term weather forecast. After the snow, we are expected to have a couple of coolers days before temperatures rise again above the freezing mark. Forecasters are also indicating rain for next week.
Are you a fan of winter? Do you like the snow and colder weather? Have your say in the comments section.
Winter: "... every year nature makes serious attempts to kill us."
(Then it’s summer and time for giant carnivorous mosquitos, who no bug repellant discourages. A Crucifix helps, but you have to hit them really hard with it).”
