North Glengarry bids adieu to its Director of Community Services
Anne Leduc stepping down from role she held for eight years
The Township of North Glengarry will soon be seeking a new Director of Community Services, as Anne Leduc has announced she will be stepping down from the role to pursue a new opportunity as Executive Director of Glengarry Inter-Agency Group (GIAG).
Today’s township press release noted, “Since 2016, Ms. Leduc has achieved a great deal in North Glengarry, from many significant projects like the Glengarry Sports Palace refurbishment, Maxville HVAC build, Alexandria Skateboard Park expansion, and the development of the Community Improvement Plan, to providing support, direction, and insight in the Recreation and Economic Development departments. Anne has also provided invaluable support to many local businesses and organizations.”
NG Mayor Jamie MacDonald added, “Anne has been a cornerstone in the community, and although losing her is a big change, I am pleased she is going a short distance down the road. This presents a fantastic opportunity to increase our township’s relations with local employers and economic opportunities.”
The township has seen a number of staffing changes recently.
“We are in a time of change with staff, including retirements and others moving on to new positions,” said CAO Sarah Huskinson. “These present opportunities for growth for our staff team, as well as expanding our depth and breadth of knowledge with new additions. We are excited about these changes, and the fresh perspectives and ideas coming to us to revamp township services and programming.”
The township expressed its thanks to Ms. Leduc “for her dedication and hard work here in North Glengarry and wishes her all the best in her new chapter at GIAG.”
A job posting for the position of Director of Community Services will be posted to the township website in the near future.
