Icy start to the day sees school buses cancelled; mild temps on the way followed by rain
The early winter roller coaster continues. Snow, ice, rain — we should expect anything this year.
Following a chilly couple of days and a bit of a snowstorm, freezing rain came into the mix overnight as the temperature rose. It’s forecast to continue to rise today up to 5°C.
In light of the early morning conditions, all local school buses were cancelled.
Next up, we can look forward to fairly significant rain Tuesday night into Wednesday, with 25 mm predicted. We should then get a freeze overnight into Thursday as the temperature slides back into chilly conditions.
The long-term forecast suggests that by Sunday we will rebound to be on the plus side of zero again.
With this wild weather ride, do you believe we will have a white Christmas this year?
If you have to venture out today, please take care.
