How much are we loving this fall Glengarry weather?
What a rollercoaster the last two days have been. After an unseasonably mild September into early October, this week has seen a couple of our overnights dip to just above the freezing mark. Meanwhile, yesterday’s daytime conditions remained a bit on the chilly side.
Then today we flirt with the upper teens and glorious sunshine.
Isn’t fall in Glengarry wonderful?
As we head into Thanksgiving weekend, typically there’s a nip in the air and tree leaves are often past peak colour. This year, it looks as though the weekend will remain comfortable, while many trees remain fully or near fully green.
Any predictions (guesses?) on when we will have peak colour in the county?
The long-range forecast suggests the first few days of next week could be in the single digits before rebounding later in the week to perhaps, fingers crossed, reaching 20° on Sunday next weekend. 🌞
Above is an oak tree captured in a past fall in its full colour glory. I expect this same tree is a few weeks off from looking like this in 2024.
